How we think about a hotel
A hotel is where a holiday is quietly won or lost. It's the one place you return to every night, and the gap between a room over the Nile and a room over the car park almost never shows in the listing photo. We book hotels the way we'd book our own: by walking the floors, opening the windows and eating the breakfast before we put a single guest in the building.
Because we work inside Egypt — offices, contracts going back to 1988 — we hold net rates directly with the properties: the price a hotel gives the trade, not the public screen price. You can book a hotel on its own, or let us thread it through a full itinerary so the transfer, the cruise and the guide all meet in the right lobby at the right hour.

Egypt isn't one kind of stay. A pyramid-view balcony in Giza, a Nile-facing room in Luxor, a reef at the end of the jetty in Marsa Alam — each city rewards a different choice. Here's how we read each one.
Cairo & Giza
Pyramid-view rooms on the Giza plateau, or a quieter base in Zamalek by the river. Twenty minutes apart, two completely different mornings.
Luxor
Nile-view hotels on the East Bank, a short walk from Karnak's evening light. Wake on the side of the river the sun rises over.
Aswan
The gentlest city on the Nile. Old-Cataract grandeur above the rapids, or a Nubian guesthouse on the west bank with feluccas at the door.
Hurghada
The main Red Sea resort city — large beachfront hotels, Sahl Hasheesh and Soma Bay south, El Gouna north. House-reef resorts where the snorkelling starts at the end of the pier.

Sharm El Sheikh

Dahab

Tropitel Dahab Oasis

The address puts it along the road that links Dahab with the Blue Hole area, which makes it a useful base on this stretch of the Red Sea coast. Room categories, meal plans, facilities and services can differ from one booking to the next, so we check them for your dates before you reserve. Egypt Discovery arranges hotel bookings in Egypt and can explain what your chosen rate covers. This is a hotel stay, not a tour, so trips and transport around Dahab need planning separately unless your reservation says they are included.
Tolip Aswan — 5-star resort on the Corniche El Nile
Tolip Aswan is a hotel in Aswan we commonly use for practical overnight stays on land. We arrange rooms, private transfers and early check-ins where possible. We favour Tolip Aswan for short stays because it simplifies logistics; we do not bundle it with Nile cruises as standard. Unlike Nile cruise public areas, Tolip offers predictable land-based transfers and simpler luggage handling. Facilities and communal spaces are more modest than larger hotels or cruise ships, so if you require extensive leisure amenities we advise a different property. Discovery Tours Egypt is a licensed Egyptian tour operator and handles all local arrangements.
Rihana Resort in El Gouna by Three Corners
Egypt Discovery books rooms at Three Corners Rihana Resort, a four-star hotel in El Gouna on the Red Sea. The address we hold is El Gouna Resort, El Gouna. The hotel is run by its own operator and we reserve on your behalf, on request. This is a place to stay rather than a sightseeing programme, so the pleasure is in the room, the resort and the easy pace of the coast. Board basis, transfers and facilities are not fixed on this page. Ask us to check them for your dates before you commit.
Three Corners Happy Life Beach Resort: a stay at El Quseir
Rated four stars, Three Corners Happy Life Beach Resort has its address in El Quseir, a Red Sea town that sits north of Marsa Alam. What you are booking is a room and not a sightseeing programme. The listing tells us about the rooms but not about restaurants, board basis or leisure facilities, so those are checked with the hotel for your dates. Egypt Discovery handles the reservation on request, and can look into transfers if you ask.
The Oberoi Sahl Hasheesh, Red Sea
The Oberoi Sahl Hasheesh is a five-star hotel at Oberoi 117, Sahl Hasheesh, on the Red Sea coast of the Hurghada area. Sahl Hasheesh is a resort district to the south of Hurghada, so staying here is a very different choice from a hotel in the city itself. The name ties it to The Oberoi hotel group. Room categories, meal plans, facilities and services change from one booking to the next, so we check them for your dates before you reserve. We can fold the hotel into a wider trip around Egypt.
Swiss Inn Resort Hurghada
Swiss Inn Resort Hurghada sits on the Red Sea coast with private beach access and an on-site dive desk. We use this hotel when clients want straightforward sea access and easy diving or snorkelling logistics rather than an all-inclusive resort bubble. Unlike many large Hurghada complexes, this property makes independent day trips simple: Giftun Island snorkelling and Luxor overnights are bookable without resort transfer rules. Expect busy beaches during peak season and limited shade at midday; bring sun protection and early-morning plans. Stay at Swiss Inn Resort Dahab
Swiss Inn Resort Dahab sits in the town of Dahab, on the Gulf of Aqaba side of the Sinai Peninsula. The town is known for its Red Sea shoreline, with desert country close behind. What you are buying here is a room at the hotel, not a guided sightseeing tour. The room type, the meal plan and any extras depend on the rate you choose, so read those details before you confirm. Trips out to local sights and activities can be added separately.
Swiss Inn Pyramids Golf Resort
Swiss Inn Pyramids Golf Resort is a hotel in Giza with an on-site golf facility and direct road access toward the Giza Plateau. As a licensed Egyptian tour operator, we use this property for one-night or short stays when clients prioritise Pyramid access over Downtown Cairo location. Unlike central Cairo hotels, it reduces morning transfer time to the Giza Plateau and Khufu Pyramid. Trade-offs: fewer late-night dining options nearby and limited rooms with direct Pyramid views; ask us to reserve a Pyramid-facing room where available. Stella Di Mare Hotel & Spa Sharm El Sheikh sits on the Red Sea coast in Sharm El Sheikh. We are a licensed Egyptian tour operator and arrange private airport transfers, room bookings, snorkel boats and spa treatments. We don't run group bus tours; our transfers are private where flight schedules allow. Unlike package-holiday chain transfers, we plan arrivals to reduce waiting at Sharm El Sheikh International Airport. Common questions
Egypt hotels, answered
01Can I book a hotel in Egypt without booking a tour?+
Yes. We book hotels on their own, with or without a wider itinerary. Plenty of guests start with a hotel and a couple of transfers, then add a guide or an excursion once they've arrived. Tell us the city and dates and we'll send options at our net rate.
02Are your hotel rates cheaper than booking online?+
Often, and rarely more. We hold net trade rates negotiated directly with the properties — the same ones the public booking sites mark up. Where an online price is genuinely lower, we'll say so and book it that way. The bigger saving is usually the hotel that's better placed for the same money.
03Are the Giza pyramid-view rooms worth the premium?+
For a night or two, for most people, yes — waking to the pyramids over breakfast is part of why you came. They cost more, and the rooms are sometimes older than newer hotels in the city. We'll tell you which specific property earns the premium and which is selling the view alone.
04What star ratings do you book?+
Everything from clean, well-run heritage guesthouses to 5-star Nile palaces and Red Sea resorts. Egyptian star ratings are inconsistent, so we judge a property on the room, the location and the service rather than the badge on the door.
05Is breakfast or an airport transfer included?+
Breakfast is included at almost every hotel we book, and we confirm it on your quote. Airport transfers are separate but simple to add — a private, flight-tracked meet-and-greet from the terminal to your hotel door.
06Can you hold a room while I decide?+
Usually. Most properties allow a short option period before payment, longer in low season. Tell us you're close to deciding and we'll hold the specific room rather than the room type, so the Nile view doesn't get sold from under you.
