No countdown clocks and no manufactured scarcity. Here's what the prices on this page mean.

Per person, two sharing

Every price assumes two people sharing a standard cabin. Travelling solo? There's a single supplement, quoted plainly rather than buried in small print.

The from-price is one real ship and date

A from-price is the cheapest current combination of ship and departure in that class – not an average, and not bait. Ask us and we'll name the ship.

Season moves the price

May to September sailings are the cheapest of the year because of the summer heat; October to April costs more and books up earlier. The from-price usually belongs to a low-season date.

The page updates itself

This page is rebuilt from the live booking catalogue every day. If a price has moved by the time you enquire, the catalogue moved – we always quote the current number.

01When are Nile cruises cheapest?+

May to September, when Upper Egypt is at its hottest. Prices are the lowest of the year and the ships are quieter. If you can manage 38°C afternoons – mornings and evenings on the river are genuinely pleasant – low season is the best value on the Nile. October to April is peak season: kinder weather, higher prices, earlier sell-outs.

02Is a £330 Nile cruise really 5-star?+

Yes, by Egyptian river-cruise classification, though it pays to understand what that means: 5-star deluxe ships are older-generation vessels with smaller cabins and simpler food than the ultra deluxe and luxury classes. You still get full board, a pool deck and the identical temple route. The class pages compare exactly what changes as the price rises.

03What's included at these prices?+

Full-board accommodation on the ship is always included. On most sailings the standard shore-excursion programme with a licensed Egyptologist guide is included as well – we confirm precisely what your chosen ship includes, in writing, before you pay anything. Flights, Egypt visa fees and tipping are always separate.

04Do you offer last-minute Nile cruise deals?+

Occasionally. Ships release unsold cabins to operators like us at short notice, mostly in low season. These come and go within days, so there's no standing last-minute page – tell our Cairo team your dates and we'll say honestly whether a short-notice price exists for them.

05How do I secure a price I see here?+

Message our reservations team through the contact form with your dates, party size and the class or ship you fancy. Prices are confirmed against real cabin availability and held once you place a deposit – until then, catalogue prices can move.
