Picture the same morning at the Pyramids before the coach groups arrive, the same Egyptologist-led tour of the Grand Egyptian Museum, the same Nile sail past Edfu – just in a 4-star room rather than a Marriott Mena House suite. Everything that defines the experience stays private and included. The savings come from accommodation tier and travel-date selection, not from cutting content. How to choose
Three pillars decide where the savings come from on a budget Egypt holiday. None of them should compromise the experience itself.
The biggest lever. 4-star hotels (Steigenberger Pyramids, Sonesta St. George Luxor) and 4-star cruise vessels (M.S. Concerto, Moon Goddess) get you the same itinerary at roughly half the 5-star price. Mid-range hybrids – 4-star hotels with a 5-star cruise – sit in between. The Egyptologist, transfers, admissions and itinerary stay identical across tiers.
May, early June and early September are the value sweet spots – sites 30% emptier than October–April, prices 25–35% below peak. We don't run 7-day southern itineraries in late July or August by default (Aswan and Abu Simbel hit 43–48°C). November to February is peak; late January drops 20% versus December after the New Year reset.
Some of our budget itineraries use shared transfers on internal travel days (Cairo airport drop, for example) to bring the per-person price down further. Your guide stays private throughout – only the transfer vehicle is shared with another party on those specific legs. Most clients accept this trade-off once we explain it; tell us if you'd prefer fully private transfers and we'll quote both options upfront.
MidCairo
This 8-day itinerary combines Cairo, Luxor, Aswan and Abu Simbel with two hotel nights in Cairo, one in Luxor and a four-night Nile cruise segment between Luxor and Aswan. You see the Giza Plateau, the Grand Egyptian Museum, Luxor East and West Bank sites, Edfu, Kom Ombo and Abu Simbel, with guided visits and site entrance fees included as stated. We are a licensed Egyptian tour operator and we arrange domestic flights, transfers and English-speaking Egyptologists. Unlike short packaged cruises that rush river sites, this programme allows longer visits at Edfu and Kom Ombo, and a scheduled morning entry to Abu Simbel.

This guided Cairo holiday focuses on the Egyptian Pyramids and Cairo’s historic attractions, with sightseeing arranged by a licensed Egyptian tour operator. Our Egyptologist guide accompanies you throughout, explaining the sites and placing Cairo’s ancient and Islamic heritage in context. Private air-conditioned vehicle transfers keep the programme straightforward between visits, while entrance fees to the sites listed in the itinerary are included. Accommodation is arranged for five nights at a 5-star Cairo hotel. Unlike a short Cairo stopover, this package allows more time for guided visits and a measured pace between major sights. A 7-night, 8-day Nile cruise aboard Nefertiti Cruise from Luxor to Aswan, sailing 31 July to 7 August 2027, with the 2027 total solar eclipse viewed from the sun deck while moored in Luxor on Day 3, alongside Egyptologist-guided visits to the West Bank, Karnak Temple, Edfu, Kom Ombo and Philae.

We operate this 8-day itinerary from Hurghada to Luxor and Aswan as a licensed Egyptian Destination Management Company (licensed by the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism – ETAA). You spend 7 nights on a comfortable Nile cruise with full-board dining and daily guided shore excursions led by our certified Egyptologists. Transfers Hurghada ⇄ Luxor (embark and disembark) and all cruise transfers are included, and we run the full-day Abu Simbel excursion from Aswan by private road transfer. This package includes standard archaeological site entrance fees (the Valley of the Kings ticket included here covers entrance to three tombs). Small-group or private options and a la carte upgrades (for example, a private cabin, premium tomb entrances, or domestic flights) are available on request – we tailor the trip to your preferences and advise on timing, modest dress requirements, and practical trade-offs such as early starts or walking on uneven ancient stone.

This 6-day Cairo and Alexandria holiday combines Cairo’s pharaonic and medieval sites with a full-day visit to Alexandria. You travel with an expert Egyptologist and private air-conditioned transfers. Highlights include the Giza Pyramids Complex and Great Sphinx, the new Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), Saqqara’s Step Pyramid and a day in Alexandria to see Qaitbay Citadel and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. May–September is 30–40% cheaper than October–April. Avoid late July/early August in Upper Egypt (40°C+). May, June, and early September are the value sweet spots.
